C. Garrison
Fathman, M.D.
C. Garrison Fathman, M.D., is a Professor of Medicine and
Chief of the Division of Immunology and Rheumatology at Stanford University
School of Medicine. He also serves as director of the Center for Clinical
Immunology at Stanford (CCIS). Dr. Fathman received his M.D. from Washington
University in St. Louis. He did his residency training at Dartmouth Affiliated
Hospitals and completed a fellowship in immunology and rheumatology at
Stanford University. Dr. Fathman then completed 4 additional years of
postdoctoral research and joined the faculty at the Mayo Clinic in 1977
and was recruited to Stanford University in 1981. Dr. Fathman is a member
of many professional organizations, including the American Association
of Immunologists and the Association of American Physicians, and is past-president
of the Clinical Immunology Society and founding Chairman of the Federation
of Clinical Immunology Societies. He was a co-founder of Cetus Immune,
Immulogic and CellGate and has served on the SAB of multiple companies.
