Jeffrey M. Jacobson, M.D.
Jeffrey M. Jacobson,
M.D. is the Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases and HIV Medicine
at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. He has
extensive experience in the design and conduct of immune-based studies
for HIV infection. Dr. Jacobson serves as Chairman of the Translational
Research and Drug Development Committee of the AIDS Clinical Trials Group
(ACTG) and is a member of the Scientific Agenda Steering Committee of
the ACTG. Previously, he was Assistant Chief and Fellowship Program Director
of Infectious Diseases at Beth Israel Medical Center and Professor of
Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. After earning his medical
degree from Cornell University Medical College, Dr. Jacobson trained
as an intern in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin
Hospitals, and as a resident and fellow in the Department of Medicine
at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
